Laura Linney is an American actress who is famous for her portrayal of vulnerable but strong characters. Her mother was a single, unmarried mother who worked as a nurse. Her interest in the theatre during holidays with her father, who was famous. Her studies in acting were at Brown University, and later in Juilliard School. Following the graduation, she began the beginning of her Broadway career. A few years later, she was in television. She has appeared in innumerable movies, television shows and stage shows since. She's been nominated for three Tony Awards, three Academy Awards, five Awards, four Primetime Emmy Awards (including two Golden Globe Awards), and received several awards during her professional career. Despite her numerous accolades, she is still a lover of theatre and has appeared on both screen and stage.
