April Lockhart

April Lockhart was born on July 4th, 1995. When she was in the seventh grade, she started playing guitar and taking piano classes, which ignited her love for songwriting. When April was 12 She composed her debut single, Different. When April was 14 years old, she dedicated an enormous amount of time creating song ideas and perfecting her music. The following months, she began taking writing trips with her father on trips to LA and NY. April began to include other relevant topics into the"Take my Hand song for some close friends, like peer pressure disabilities and teen suicide. Lockhart has become a sought-after lifestyle influencer, as well as being a partner with clean-cut beauty brands Ilia and YSL, has cultivated an impressive audience. Her disability is a part of her identity, but it's not all of the picture. The profile of Lockhart on Instagram does not cover up her disability, but it does not focus solely on it. The point? The message? We are all multifaceted, and that our physical and identity selves are not all that appear. Lockhart stated in a video interview that she didn't want to be defined solely by her disability. She doesn't want to be a disability advocate who only talks about disability. There are many aspects to Lockhart. It doesn't impact my daily life. I conduct things normally, and I've discovered my own way to adjust the things. The same is true for my personality, and it should be discussed. Self-acceptance can be a marathon for a lifetime but Lockhart truly inspires me for this aspect. Still, she admits that she went through a series of phases in her body, and felt uncomfortable in certain situations wearing clothing that displayed the arms of her. It's her choice to wear what she'd like, and proudly shares photos of her in these outfits. What makes self-love so appealing to her is that it's not a goal. But, this isn't typical for people who has insecurities. I believe that it's really vital to surround yourself people who can identify and feel your heart.
